Yeah, sounds the same set up as mine. The box you refer to in the passenger footwell is what I called the dongle.

Na, we're all Android, and S21's so probably at the same update level, but I can hopefully collar a yoof with an I-phone at some point. Lol. Am I right in thinking that the only difference for carplay was the lightning cable, so now the newer I - phones are usbc, it should just be plug and play?

I imagine it's had wheel spacers on which has led to stone chips. I've noticed since having spacers on my GT, the arch lip and the lower part of drivers door has been getting peppered. If you don't touch them up quick, that's what happens.

If I was on a budget, I'd cut open the back boxes and remove the wadding. I've done it on previous cars when aftermarket options were rediculous money, and it sounded great. You get the distinctive tone of the oem design, but more volume.
