Just to resurrect this thread, did anybody ever work out whether the bulbs behind the heater controls could actually be popped out and replaced? And if so, does anyone have the specs/links for buying replacement bulbs?

Six grand though. Really? Have to wonder where people dream these valuations up from.

Isn't there also the possibility of a failed temperature sensor? Sure I read on here somewhere that if these go it stops the compressor kicking in? Would certainly be a cheaper fix if it is!
