Sports Maserati brake discs - third group buy

UPDATE - these are now taken, sorry. If anyone urgently needs a set of new front discs from the earlier group buys, I have some I no longer require. Cost price plus delivery (they are heavy!) or pickup in West Sussex. PM me if interested.

    End float - an update

In the picture fifth from top, is that the famously now non-existent cam chain? If so, it's a big bugger isn't it? I always assumed it would be a tiddly little thing...

    Instrument Lights

Just to resurrect this thread, did anybody ever work out whether the bulbs behind the heater controls could actually be popped out and replaced? And if so, does anyone have the specs/links for buying replacement bulbs?

Lancia Beta Montecarlo Barn Find - enough left?

Six grand though. Really? Have to wonder where people dream these valuations up from.

    3200 Aircon

Isn't there also the possibility of a failed temperature sensor? Sure I read on here somewhere that if these go it stops the compressor kicking in? Would certainly be a cheaper fix if it is!

Anyone Live in/near Partridge Green Sussex?............Favour to Ask!

Hi Stu, I live about 20 minutes from Partridge Green and I'll help if I can, although I am certainly no expert when it comes to car inspections. If you don't get a better offer and want to follow up, drop me a PM.

    3200 Project

Mine were done at Emblem, but I'm not really the yardstick for DIY potential after taking two days to fix a bloody indicator bulb!!

My new metal brake lines were fitted with the rest of the car intact.

    Another 3200 Pushing the Boundaries.

Surely all exotica has possible pitfalls, not just 3200s? I cannot believe Ferrari 348s and early 355s do not have some serious bills from time to time? And for modern reference, earlier this year my mate bought a year old Audi RS6 V10. The engine went pop recently after throwing a rod. The...

    Replacing left front indicator bulb

Well I guess that does make sense in a Maserati sort of way. I mean, you've designed a unit that ideally the owner needs regular access to, given the fragility of light bulbs. And you've built in a good sized and fairly accessible bolt mechanism, coupled with the fact that the unit sits very...

    Replacing left front indicator bulb

Here's what we learned from our weekend of playing amateur garage mechanics. And this is not intended as any criticism of all the advice offered, which we couldn't have done without. It's more about giving folks attempting this in future a helping pointer for a much quicker job. Which is that...

    Replacing left front indicator bulb

Oooooh interesting, thanks. Will give that a go tomorrow. Too much post-overalls gin consumed now!

    Replacing left front indicator bulb

Pic was taken looking directly up toward the back of the light cluster. It's just a smallish nut I'm looking for then? Gonna have another try tomorrow.

    Replacing left front indicator bulb

Guys, I really need a bit of help here. I've followed the instructions that SteveM gave, and have got the front bib off. Now I'm looking upwards from under the car and I can't really see what bolt I'm supposed to be removing to get the indicator light cluster out! It can't be the one I've...

Carfest South family weekend camping ticket going cheap!

It's short notice I know, but our family weekend camping ticket (covering 2 adults and 2 children) for the upcoming Carfest South is up for grabs, since we can no longer make the event. I thought it might be of interest to someone on here and of course you don't actually need to use the child...

    Replacing left front indicator bulb

Thanks, but the words "under tray off" take it beyond my means at home. I only have a heavy-duty jack to call upon, which won't be any use for that sort of job. However, the relative ease of doing it this way for a garage with an inspection lift does mean I should be able to use a local firm...
