    Any Duo- select upgrades?

I'm non technical Mike so I wouldn't know. The FD website, perhaps a little cagily, says: "Customers also report improved clutch wear from DuoSelect (F-1) models as a result of faster, more positive clutch engagements". so they're not making the claim, their customers are. Although on the...

    Any Duo- select upgrades?

Because quicker changes = less clutch slippage = less clutch wear = longer life per clutch. At least that what I have been told. I was going to post on this to request views of those who have done the FD DBW conversion.

    Why are QPs so cheap?

Lets see: with all due respect and in MY humble opinion - disagree (unless maybe it's a golf club in Italy), um disagree and let's see..definitely disagree.

    Wheel Spacers

Each State has their own legislation so he could drive it to the Western Australian border and then take his chances... which would be quite good because we don't have MOT or any roadworthy checks in WA.

    Wheel Spacers

I bought some from FD, who kindly took them back into stock when I found they were illegal here, and therefore could cause insurance issues in the event of a claim. Also didn't like the idea of extra stress on the wheel bearings.

    Why are QPs so cheap?

Yup, not even close I.M.O. Rear door/wheel arch/bulge are all wrong.

    Why are QPs so cheap?

Big 4 door sedans have never held their value. 7 Series or Arnage anyone? My QP5 GT cost someone $300k AUD new and I paid 20% of that 10 years later, with 58k kms on the clock. They'll probably never go up in our lifetime. The only reason to buy one is to enjoy it. The trick is buying one...

    3200 custom X or H pipe

Just got the quote from the local very well regarded exhaust place. Job: replace factory precats with new 100 cell cats. Delete centre cat and replace with X or H pipe in 2/12 inch stainless. Refit exhaust temp sensors. Fit up to my existing back boxes. All to be removable and factory system...

    F1 pump relay solution

Hi Adam, its a tentative YES from me, subject to proof that it works on our cars. How many units do you think we need for an Oz group buyu? my indy mechanic will probably grab one to try out. Re the display issue, if the unit works so much better that the original and is good for the life of...

    Sold the car

Completely understand. Local expertise is one of the main reasons I have the classic cars I have. Also the reason I no longer have the Jensen (nobody could tune the 6 pack carby properly, and the reason I won't buy a TVR with a TVR engine.

    3200 custom X or H pipe

    3200 custom X or H pipe

Yeah thanks, thin braided lines. I guess I was wondering whether they need refitting in the new centre section pipes or can I delete them too? Never heard of a fault code from them but that doesn't mean much. Also wondering what removing the precats will do for exhaust temps at those sensors...

    3200 custom X or H pipe

Should get my quote tomorrow for new 100 cell cats centre section H to connect up with rear boxes, all in 2 1/2 inch stainless. Still need to know about whether to replace the exhaust heat sensors (if that's what they are - #3 in the diagram). Any ideas guys?

    3200 custom X or H pipe

I made this when I got the Tubis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDud9VlbPAM Not as raucous as the Larini back boxes but much more tuneful and interesting than factory.

    3200 custom X or H pipe

Ok, just had the car on the hoist at the exhaust guy's workshop. I had (wrongly) assumed I could replace the mid section and leave the first set of cats in place. Wrong. The whole assembly from in front of the first set of cats on past the secondary (centre) cat is one piece, shown if the first...
