    dash-cam: worth it?

Sometimes having a more on show dashcam has its merits. When someone reversed into my car, they saw the dashcam with its glowing red light while parked, and waited for my return knowing they had been caught Otherwise they might have driven off, and then how do you resolve the situation avoiding...

    Wanted - Fiat 500 & VW Polo

Went through this 6 months ago with my daughter. She wanted a FIAT 500 but with a budget of £3k, honestly, saw 8 cars and all where ******* up near 100k miles. She saw a Ford Ka and liked it...which is based on the 500 with the same 1.2 engine. You can buy a better Ka than a 500 with the same...

    Lotus Emira AMG First Edition

Friend collected this morning, after a 3 year wait. Lotus have come a long way, absolutely stunning. Will see about the AMG 4 pot after he has run it in... The touring suspension is spot on though, firm but not crashy.

    Back Pain! Anyone had problems?

I have what I believe is a trapped nerve. Had it for around 35 years. When it goes I simply drop to the floor, can not put any weight on my legs. Happens every few years. Also a milder version which lasts a few days. Both go as quickly as they come. Most annoying. Doctors just suggest pain...

    dash-cam: worth it?

No it's not delayed. That's me pushing the save button. When you do it saves so many minutes before and after you push the button. In the case of an impact it does it automatically. In that particular case I couldn't make out any registration number, due to speed and lights glare.

Yesterday evening was a perfect example of using the wife's plug in hybrid for local running around. It was fully charged, and being sad I could look at exactly the amount of charge it took to fully charge the battery the night before (empty to full) via the smart plug. So a true value before...

CHURCHILL INSURANCE RENEWAL PREMIUM UP 40%

Just renewed the M140i/Pinin on a multicar policy this week. Up 35% with Aviva. It's the norm unfortunately. Think I will be selling the Pinin. Extremely useful vehicle to have around, but now after 5 years ownership and with my daughter now driving with her own car, it gets very little usage. I...

Trefeo light split rims for sale.

I must say, I'm very tempted, to replace my Formula Dynamic rims! I'm sure I tried to buy these off you must be 10 years ago, but along the way you disappeared, it was a long time ago! The problem with values today, buying a set of wheels possibly worth 25% the value of the whole car is a little...

Who on here has classic Fiat Panda 4x4?

I thrashed the knackers off on a normal G reg one bought for £600 at the auctions, after I had to sell my Alfa 33 P4 for a first house deposit back in the 90's. Foot flat everywhere and mastered changing gear without using the clutch!! Sold it 2 years later when I was financially recovered, for...

    Car Tax on Modern Classics

Can remember when it was proposed for cars to be tax exempt at 25 years old. Labour gov. got in and it was squashed, just before my Stag was 25 years old. Then had to wait another 15 years until the 40 year old rule came in for tax exempt. My Stag will be now 50 years old this August!

    Hunting random misfire on 4200

What does an obd2 reader report. I had a misfire, came up on two cylinders. Experimented with swopping coil packs around, still the same two cylinders, then moved the plugs, the misfiring cylinders moved with the two plugs. Changed all 8 plugs for new ones, problem solved. Can't explain why two...

With the Mrs Audi, Octopus take control of the cars charging, they have direct access to the car using the audi app login details. It's pretty reliable most of the time, but has failed to connect on occasions. This would have been a problem if a full EV and not a hybrid, and you needed a full...

Check that either the Polestar, or the charger you choose if the Polestar isn't, is compatable with Intelegent Octopus for the 7.5p deal. When you are on Intelegent for the 6 hours you can also charge your batteries at this low rate, and still get paid 15p for solar excess export.
