400GT is very rare. They only built a handful, one of which came to the U.K.

Fractionally more populous here was the Atlantique, of which about 10 were sold here in right hand drive (such as the green one pictured above). The final two were twin-turbo versions, such as my blue car. More power than the earlier single-turbo version, but more temperamental.

I bought an E46 M3 from a chap who had one and was doing an Antantigue up. I think it was a deep red colour from memory.

I did like the 400 GT.

I wonder what the creators of this automotive gem are thinking when they see the gopping bever teeth illuminated on this abomination?

The original owner of mine was Mr Rausing (of TetraPak fame), who was the richest person in the U.K. at that time. He probably wasn’t so bothered about repair bills!
A business associate of mine married into that family. Smart move, following the age-old advice to marry a BWA*.
