No, not at all TBH. A needle in the heel / sole inject the Steroid, no different to a jab in the harm. Honestly, no particular pain or anguish...

I've had it in both feet, several years apart. Get a GP referal to a specialist & request a steroid injection into the heel. I had it done and been trouble free for years...
