So, finally jacked the car up and disconnected the 3 wiring connectors that run to the autobox. Thankfully it turned out to be the large circular connector - pain to get to, had to drop down the gearbox cross member but alas the connector just needed driven home, it wasn't clicked fully on.... phew!

that pipe goes on to your boost controller.... wont have an impact on the car starting though...(its the little box that the pipe in the picture above is connected to)

if it's a hot start problem.... i had this. turned out to be the water temp sender connection at the front of the block, just to the right of the solenoid boost controller. the connector had become a little corroded and removing/reinserting fixed it until i pulled it apart and properly cleaned it.
