I have a CTEK mx5.0 To be honest, I have not found it to be that great. The cable/connector convenience is good, but I do find often the unit has an error (so it stops charging) meaning I have to unplug from the mains then reconnect.

Once a battery has been discharged, it essentially needs replacing. Sounds like you need a new battery. I have a CTEK - it has a long cable which lives in the boot (connected to the battery) and the charger lives in an IP rated box next to where I park. So when I get home, I open the boot then...

It just takes a bit of setting up and getting used to. I like to mess about with settings on phones/computers so I don't mind, but I think a normal person might have found it a bit frustrating. Most people are fine it seems, I'm just particular about set-up and how apps work.
