Auto gear box oil and differential oil.

The ZF has lifetime oil according to all the car brands that use this box. However ZF themselves recommend to change it at about 100.000 km. To change out all the fluid, you have to go to a specialist that can flush the entire box. I had mine done at 145.000km by ZF and they also changed some...

    Braided Hoses

Did it on my QP 2 years ago when the car was 10 years old. Also changed the rotors and EBC yellow, so the braking was totally different/better in every way, but how much was due to the lines?? Anyway a cheap and easy conversion if you know your way around brakes, and IMHO also safer as old...

QPV Front Bumper Badge Replacement (can't be that hard, right)

On a QP you can get a wrench from the engine department to the nut to remove the old one, than carefully pry the old emblem of, and just (after cleaning) put the new emblem on without attaching the nut, and it will stick.

    QP V GT S driver's display issue

Several repair shops in the world, just google. There is a good one in the Netherlands (kms-apeldoorn) that have done QP’s before.

Muffler difference QP GTS and Granturismo

When I fitted a pair of GT tubi’s to my QP, I had a muffler builder weld in 4 pipes of about 10 cm to make it fit. So I would say that that is the only difference. The brackets are positioned in the same way for both models!

    Parking sensor OEM alternatives

No clue about the skoda ones. I fitted the volvo ones to my 2007 automatica and they work perfect. I changed all 4 in the rear bumper (since it was a B. to get off) and one up front that played up once in a while. Plenty of sources that provide the volvo ones, from cheap chinese to expensive...

    Parking sensor OEM alternatives

Volvo part 30765108 fits front and back. Get a paint kit that matches your car’s paint, and start swapping, which at least for the rear means getting the bumper off, fidly job with lots of seized rusted bolts and nuts!

    Instrument Cluster Failure

Is the entire screen dark or are pixels missing. I had the complete dark screen, and just took the cluster apart, cleaned the connectors of the screen and it works. That was 2 years ago!

    Brake issues

I had similar issues when I changed to ss brakelines, and wasn’t even able to get good pressure with a vacuum bleeder and a compressor. But google was my friend and I read an article of Aldous Voice on bleeding ferrari systems. So I got myself a Sealy vs820 pressure bleeder. Fits perfect on the...

FD Brake Upgrade provided by Emblem

Larini sells the FD upgrade kit 360 to 380 in europe for £1600 (no VAT?) for a pair of disks, spacers for the original calipers, steel brake lines and fluid. Just whish something like that came for the 4.2 with 330 disks to upgrade to 360. The complete kit with calipers is just a bit to much.

    Red Warning Light

Welcome to the wonderfull world of Italian car’s. These car’s just show all their features (warning lights) now and than, so you know they work, but only if they stay on after a reset you should be worried! But you are right, for a defective light the yellow triangle would normally light-up, so...

    Wheel Bolts

There is an incomplete version (which I have) on the maserati life forum. It is to big to e-mail. Maybe some-one here has it in a drop box or something. And I would also be interested in the complete version!

    Wheel Bolts

I followed the WSM twice now, so torquing to 130, directly loosen and that set at 98, and no more bolts falling of the car. So I stick to what maserati says in the WSM and do not listen to the wheel “pro’s” that say just set at 98 is sufficient. 2 lost bolts and a loose rear wheel told me...

    Wheel Bolts

I lost 2 wheelbolts when I had my summer tyres put on and the shop torqued to 98 Nm and did not pre set to 130. So that is advisable, or you have to re-torque after your first long drive.

Thanks Martin, I fear I will have to change them this year, maybe can postpone untill the cold season, but the LH side is getting a bit soft.
