What’s this panel for on the GranTurismo door?

There are a lot more than 2. I believe about 10% of Sport numbers were the MC box, so something like 40 or so. The autobox in the sport is so good, and well suited to the car (mostly) that it's not really surprising there were so few MCs (clutch changes etc etc). The caveat is the one...

    Gone

Combined they meant I put the least miles on the GT than I've put on any of my cars. This wasn't a conscious decision (I don't care about mileage), it's just the instinctive way of things. By comparison, the Vantage was used at least half of the time I drove, simply because it was that much...

Make the maths work :) A Vantage is in a different league in most respects that matter away from a track. Cayman isn't for me. I have a Caterham for pure driving thrills and that snug feeling. Chances are it'll be a 911 (if I can find one sensibly priced) but non-turbo. The roads where I live...

Well, car sold at the weekend. Big thanks to Richard Grace for advice and the simplest of sales processes. Happy with the price (depreciation no worse than other cars at this level). New owner has a fantastic spec and condition GT. May they enjoy the car to the full. My final...

To Strad or not to Strad....

I'm not convinced the later, 4-seat version is sufficiently different to the "standard" Sport model. Weight difference is not that great relative to the weight of the car, the engine's the same etc. Aesthetics on the outside and inside are different (though inside a Sport can be spec'd to be...

What's happened to the Gran Turismo?

Looking at the number on Autotrader and the prices of them I totally agree.

Pzeros - Maserati spec or ???

I've never had good experience of Pirellis. Break traction too easily and simply don't feel that grippy. They are also very poor in standing water. Michelin Pilot Super Sports are better in every respect - though never got to try them on the GT (had them on my old V8V and also on my RS4)...

    Granturismo MC Sportline

Ah. Then it's probably best simply to run through the descriptions and make one's own judgement. Whether a Sport is worth a premium over the earlier car will be down to what a buyer wants. There are differences in the two models. Ditto the way the cars are appointed. When I bought mine...

    Granturismo MC Sportline

Thanks Iain. Not sure yet...mulling over a couple of options along with what the transportation priorities are as my kids get bigger :)

    Granturismo MC Sportline

Also one of the best looking, very nicely looked after and incredible value as a result :)

Great spec. Very similar to mine. I've been looking at Porsche 911s recently (replacement for an RS4) and they look really poor value against GTs when you compare price points. Good luck with the sale. If the world was sane, it would sell really quickly. May be the wrong time of the year though.

    Dipping wing mirrors on reverse?

Thanks all. Me being a bit of a tool! Other half used the car last weekend. Rather than press the memory button to get the seat back where I have it I just used the adjustment buttons. Pressing my memory setting made the mirror dip as before :) Thanks again for the reminder.

    Dipping wing mirrors on reverse?

Am I imagining that my GT used to have a dipping left hand wing mirror on selecting reverse? I was sure it did, but a couple of weeks ago it stopped doing it. Alternatively my memory's buggered and jumping between cars that do have it has fried my brain :D
