    Scotland/North England/Norn Iron meet?

Hello Chaps, Sorry for the incredibly tardy reply. I've been in and out of the country for work and kept delaying a response until I knew what I'd be doing. Unfortunately I still don't! But I might be back in Glasgow next weekend. If I am I'd certainly be up for this but I'm afraid it will be...

    Scotland/North England/Norn Iron meet?

Bah, I was with you until this. Perhaps you mean the barren rock known as Shetland? Orkney (or the Fiji of the North as it is often called) never dips below a balmy 30 degrees even in the deepest of winter. I'm driving up there next week for some Christmas sun.

    Scotland/North England/Norn Iron meet?

Yes they are pretty awful in general but some areas are better than others. Once you get out of the city and into the country they are generally pretty good. I'm lucky in that we don't need to drive in town much and my route to the motorway is pretty good now. I think the council were...

    Scotland/North England/Norn Iron meet?

Yup, probably down to a higher population of highly paid footballers in Glasgow I guess... There are a couple that I bump into at the local petrol station pretty much every week.

    Scotland/North England/Norn Iron meet?

I missed the original post but luckily the thrilling discussion of Range Rover winter tires boosted it back up the rankings  I'd probably be up for something. Unfortunately I'm pretty busy these days but I'm sure, with a bit of notice, my ruthlessly efficient social secretary would ensure...

Looking for advice and bodyshop recomendations in/near Glasgow

Bugger, I went past Graypaul on the way to Phil at PK's last week and they referred me to Mitchell Inglis for a quote as it is their preferred bodyshop! Since they were an approved repairer for my insurer I thought it was a good bet and stopped the quote search. Back to the drawing board. I'll...

Looking for advice and bodyshop recomendations in/near Glasgow

@all Once thanks for the replies. They've given me a bit of fresh motivation! @Needamaser, thanks for the advice. Is the username accurate? If so I have a 4200 with light (probably T-Cut out) accident damage for sale ;-) Yes, regretting not going through a broker. Used to for years but then...

Looking for advice and bodyshop recomendations in/near Glasgow

Unfortunately, since the recording does not have him explicitly saying his name and that he hit my parked car in his van and assumes all liability, the insurance bods aren't that interested at this stage. Apparently it would be useful if it goes to court. Which is something to look forward...

    Ouch!

Hello Mr Outrun, Think I saw your car when I popped past Phil's last week. Looks very nice! Cheers, Kenny

@adam yes the guy said pretty much exactly that, cut out and replace. He also recommended doing something preventative (can't remember what exactly) to the rear wheel arches as there is a weak spot there as well. Seemed to know his stuff and had done a few masers over the years with the same set...

Looking for advice and bodyshop recomendations in/near Glasgow

Thanks for the replies. I waited for more information before replying. Unfortunately the damage on the quarter is a little beyond even the most optimistic T'cut. Yes it's mostly paint transfer but at the edge of the light it's through to the metal and (like me) a little depressed. I've had a...

Looking for advice and bodyshop recomendations in/near Glasgow

Hello chaps, I was walking back to my car when a van came down the street and decided to try and parallel park in the space behind mine. I witness this epic parking failure in slow motion as the guy dragged the front of his van across the rear bumper and rear panel (beside the lights). The...

Well who would miss the show week! Although as every right thinking individual knows, the Dounby show is the main event. West is best after all beuy! Vintage rally sounds like a good plan, my dad is usually their poking about old Jags and fettling ancient Lister engines so I'll be there anyway.I...

Hi Orcadian, I'm afraid I know nothing (4200 owner) of the surely wondrous GT but thought I'd chime to say that I'm also from Orkney! I'm west coast based these days but make it up home a few times a year. We can have the first Orkney Maserati Meet :-) Good luck with the hunt.
