If you have the Chromatic type, unless you have money to burn, go for a standard one for £80 OE. The chromatic one was quoted to me as circa £870 + VAT and all it is is two pieces of glass sandwiched together and a small wire coming off it!!

Lower wishbone ball joint - if it is like mine!

If it is anything like mine, it is the bottom wishbone ball joint that has failed. That will be £1k for a new wishbone as the ball joint is integral and can not be changed. Also, I found the replacement was different and so had to get a secondhand hub carrier and top wishbone........ still...

Mine languishes in the garage in Bleadon - close to you Alfa Muppet! A late 2L on a P plate needing a respray. The rear sub frame looked really 'crispy' when I looked last week and so I worry that it wouldn't even pass an MOT.
