    Maseratis - Spotted

Maroon QP exiting Pershore towards Worcester about 16:30 yesterday. First time I've seen another when I've been out in mine - green QP V! Appropriate acknowledging gestures exchanged :).

    QPV winter cover

I got as far as researching, have not bought, but I was going to plump for a Carcoon alternative from inthegarage . If you've not come across them before they're inflateable instant garages with air circulation. You need (modest) power to keep it up (oo er, missus) but avoids both abrasion and...

LED Bulb in Boot causing Battery drain!

I'm using mansplaining in a gender non-specific way :D Sort of the modern equivalent of teaching one's grandmother. LEDs are (more or less) not ohmic at all rather than just being non-linear. A typical equivalent circuit is a voltage source of about 2V in series with a very small resistor. i.e...

LED Bulb in Boot causing Battery drain!

Your solution is the wrong way round IMHO To get a minimum resistance across the lamp you need to a parallel resistor or have a low(er) resistance LED :) At the risk of mansplaining ;) ... ...it's complicated by the highly non-ohmic characteristic of filament lamps. Particularly that their off...

Hi from Surrey - Maserati QPV

Loudlink worked for me mostly. An oddity is it turns the 'phone's music volume to 0 on each connection. Apart from that and the below the toughest thing was getting the CD changer out! It was unexpectedly expensive. Ts&Cs suggest VAT is included but it isn't uniquely for UK buyers. Which would...

    Advice please - Doors

I had to redo membrane seals on my daily shed Jazz - rear footwell puddles! Any acrylic gun-applied sealant will do. There's automotive types but for the Jazz I used Unibond Weatherguard window frame sealant. The materials suggested above might be more "proper" though :)

duoselect change in neutral at low speed

That answer was given because I asked what symptoms I should look out for, as an aid to making the stick or twist decision on clutch blackjack :) The indie is Migliore. I've used many garage services for different cars over the years and my judgement is that they are superb - technically...

duoselect change in neutral at low speed

Thanks rs. Also take the point on other causes (than the clutch) to @Giual 's issue. Any news G, I see you haven't visited for a week?

duoselect change in neutral at low speed

Unexpected neutral but going into gear when asked again is a symptom of worn clutch acc. the indie who serviced mine. As a new owner and car bought with unknown clutch wear (last owner had it serviced by an ex-Maserati tech but without suitable interrogation tool) I had to judge whether the 78%...

Spare wheel & tools. What do I need?

Update: I went with member @sionie1 's offer. OEM turnkey solution (bag, wheel, jack, wrench, compressor, in-wheel packing insert) was worth the premium and still a huge saving over attempting to source new. It fits in the spare wheel well too. The floor doesn't quite lie flat but it's close...

Spare wheel & tools. What do I need?

Thanks. I've joined the group anyway. I'm much more tempted today. By the time I've got equivalents to most of those bits I'm not going to be too shy of that price. PM'd

2006 QP ExecGT Incoming. Intro & Audio Query

I'll likely use a ciggie lighter USB thingy as it's easier/nearer to where the 'phone attaches - a previous owner had stuck a quick mounter magnet on the left of the centre console. I got a very thin plate for the 'phone which slips between it and the fitted rubbery protector. Can see enough of...
