Thanks for the info Lee: sounds like you didn't do *too* badly. I've got an LCD backpack thingy that sounds great in theory but is virtually indecipherable in anything resembling daylight... And I think mine's a little more battle hardened than yours... Will clean it up, bung it up on t'net...
