    Ghibli II clock question

And why mine was misbehaving, because there wasn’t a good connection between the wiring from the back of the clock that then plugs into the loom.

Classiche Programme - The Ghibli Goes To Modena

Quick update - I'm having to reschedule this trip, so will continue the journey to Modena when possible.

    Ghibli II clock question

The clock in my Ghibli wasn’t working, or was intermittent. It turned out to be poor connection between the male and female connectors. Try bending the copper prongs in a little to get a tighter fit when connected and see if that helps.

    All biturbo: body front weaknesses

Just curious. Has your car ever been in a collision, even very low speed? Maybe not in your ownership but possibly before?

    PPF - Ghibli II

But is this for a car originally painted around 30 years ago, and if so how well did the paint hold up if ever you had to remove the PPF sheets?

Classiche Programme - The Ghibli Goes To Modena

Thanks all, especially @alpa and @stormrider123 very kind of you both!

    All biturbo: body front weaknesses

Looks like a huge job, and only really practical with the engine out. Despite your very thorough repairs, will this area not always be compromised and possibly break again in places? What was it that led you to performing these repairs, was it something obvious such as handling or cabin noise...

Classiche Programme - The Ghibli Goes To Modena

Well, I've decided to use this post to record the trip from the UK to Modena in May. The Classiche Programme precertification form has been completed and the appraisal booked at the Maserati factory for Monday May 6th to Friday May 10th. My wife and I will take 4 days to drive to Modena and 4...

    Biturbos/number cars/Ghibli IIs for sale

I use ACF-50 and a detailing brush on any exposed ally when the car's stored, this just cooks off when you warm the car up but is great protection and anti-corrosive.

    PPF - Ghibli II

I wouldn’t do it. But then it’s not my car! What I would do is get paint correction and a top-end ceramic coating applied by a detailing outfit with excellent reviews. Why? Because PPF is great in theory, but if ever you need to remove it, and no doubt there will come a time you do, it’s quite...

A meticulous GTV 916 Busso 'restomod' now complete with a ceramic coating

Cracking colour combo isn't it. The grigio with the red interior. Sort of serious on the outside and naughty on the inside

A meticulous GTV 916 Busso 'restomod' now complete with a ceramic coating

This has been a real 'labour of love'. But the car is singing now.

Route recommendations please, for UK to Modena

Good ideas, thanks! But I’ve got a few reasons for picking France for most of the trip down, then Switzerland on the way back. I speak some French, which helps massively. Plus from my basic experience of both countries I found French roads top notch and German autobahns a bit bland. Also the...

Merak SS at Brooklands auction soon

Same here. I think the lack of perceived suitability of driving a LHD car in the UK is largely psychological, just my humble opinion. I genuinely forget the Ghibli is LHD when driving it around and often go to get in the 'wrong driver's door' when using other vehicles. The only time it's ever...
