What's the conclusion on this ? Is it something that requires immediate fixing, or could be fixed on the next service in about 3000 miles ? When you say not expensive, can you estimate a range ?
Thanks Adam, I'll look at that during the week-end.
Thanks
Looks nice, not sure why I'm avoiding Greece nowadays for holidays.
Well I'm located, somewhere South East, further down ... by about 2000 miles... i find it hard to disclose due to all the politics.... Cluj Napoca, Romania.
I fixed one of the noises, under max wheel turn taking off would make some popping sounds. by changing the front tires to Continental CONTISPORTCONTACT 5P 245/35R20 Z XL FR the noise was gone. Pirelli seem to by very bad, everybody seems to take them off.. also among the known brands they are...
on #2 the sound is persisting, so it's not a one time thing. That's why it makes me think, that it might be something vibrating underneath. I thought that valves closing would be a one time thing. If it turns out it's the valves, then I need to keep them from closing so... sport mode it is :D.
English is my 2nd languages, so I can't tell the difference between a clank and a gruff even the clank was a guess :)
on #3 If I think about it, yes I think the sound is present on uphill turns. the noise is heard exactly once each time it doesn't sound like metal, more like hard rubber...
Hello gents,
It's a 2009 Quattroporte Sport GT S with 5000 miles on it, had it checked at 3500 miles, everything was great. After getting accustomed to it after 2 months of driving, I'm hearing some noises that I didn't notice when I bought it.
1. Back doors curtains make some rattling noise...
When I bought my Quattroporte GT S, I wanted to get the Maserati Warranty, I was told it was 2500 EUR per year unless the previous owner didn't discontinue it, in that case you can't get it.
Excepting members of the forum of course, I think the new strategy targets developing countries where people want to brag about owning a Maserati, while on a very tight budget to put it gently... Most of you being located in the UK, might not experience this, but where I live, it's quite...
Unfortunately maserati's now come with diesel engines and I bet 80% of sales will be diesel. At least where I live, people want to show off but don't want to pay the bill. The diesel engine was the most important thing that made me chose the previous generation.
