Main Ferrari Maserati dealer. Was told I needed two new cats as old ones shot, cost was £1300 each plus vat and then fitting. Decided to go down the Larini sports cat route instead and when Larini took my old ones off found there was nothing wrong with them. I could have raised a stink but...
Sadly I know of a main dealer who has actually tried to do that to me, you need to be careful. That said, when I used HR Owen last they did point out a few very minor issues (slight rust on the jacking point being one) that they said they were duty bound to tell me about but didn't really need...
Last time I got a quote the indie was more expensive than HRO on a like for like. My 6 year service was about £1200 inc vat if I remember correctly. They will start with a higher figure will come down if you haggle!
£2000 for the 4 year service is ludicrous, I got mine done for about £1300 from a main dealer. The service book recommends that the carbon canister and lambda sensors are both replaced at the 4 year service, which is why it is so expensive. However, these are recommended items and not...
Wet roads are not too bad although you do need to exercise caution, the rears will spin up with little provocation if you are careless. That said the car is perfectly driveable and no worse than any other rear wheel drive car of similar power. What you DO NOT want to do is go anywhere near snow...
Congrats, a very good choice if I may say so, although I may be somewhat biased!! Not only is the colour stunning in real life and particularly on a bright sunny day, there are not many around so quite a rare car. What colour interior has yours got?
I have also been pondering this, but can't justify the huge additional cost for something that may actually be less useable on a day to day basis. I have no doubt the Stradale will be the better car if pressing on, but would it do the everyday stuff as well, quick trip to the shops, long...

Is this wear or is the material just matted? It is quite unusual for these to wear badly but if you have a high mileage car I guess that is possible. More likely is that over time and use the oils from your hands get absorbed by the alcantara and make it become smooth and matted, often...
The Alcantara will be much easier to clean than suede, all it needs is some warm water and a soft cloth and you can get virtually all grime off it. it then dries and feels like it was when new, really good stuff and way better to hold than a leather wheel.
In my opinion there is a world of difference and as bigbob says above, the price difference is often misleading as not a direct comparison.
In real world driving the 4.2 is a bit sluggish, it lacks torque for such a big heavy car. The auto cannot be completely over-ridden which is actually more...
Did you replace with Pirellis or another brand? I am just about to pull the trigger and would be interested to know what you went with. I recall Bigbob has changed to Continentals which are now approved by Maserati and I was also thinking that a change might be in order, Pirellis wear to quickly...
Another advocate of the normal 95 unleaded. In normal use there is simply no difference between the two grades that I can discern and therefore can't see the point of spending what is nearly 10p a litre more for something that gives no tangible benefit. The only caveat to this is on long fast...
