Even I'm gobsmacked
But if, for example, Bill Murray’s Maserati Biturbo sold for £Lots, another group of car enthusiasts on a Porsche or Ford forum (for instance)would no doubt be casting shade on any Maserati being worth more than 12p. Objectivity means nothing here.I suppose the reaction on here is from a group of car enthusiasts who will look at the objective performance and merits of the Escort as a motor vehicle. For someone not interested in the car (probably the buyer) but the story behind it then the price Is easier to comprehend as what price can you put on 1 of 1 if the particular story floats your boat. Does anyone know who it was owned by previously? I bet the appreciation was incredible.
I regard some of his antics as being an Urban Legend anyway, but, Bill Murray owned a BiTurbo? That's awesome. But if, for example, Bill Murray’s Maserati Biturbo sold for £Lots, another group of car enthusiasts on a Porsche or Ford forum (for instance)would no doubt be casting shade on any Maserati being worth more than 12p. He still does, I think. Owned since new, I believe, though I only used this as a salient example as he’s one of only a few current shlebs to be into Masers in a public way.I regard some of his antics as being an Urban Legend anyway, but, Bill Murray owned a BiTurbo?

Yes but Andrew’s model gave him a Max swell.
