Thats very interesting. The skip is due to the width of the tyre and inside edge trying to move at a different speed to outside edge.
Thats very interesting.
Also the turning radius has an effect. Although both wheels move a same amount when you turn the steering wheel you really want the inside wheel to turn more so it scribes a smaller radius as you go round the corner. This isn’t possible as each wheel would have to be controlled independently so the tighter the turning circle the worse the effect.
I think you'll find that the built in Ackerman angle sorts out this issue Tim.
Point taken Tim.
Hope you didn’t take it the wrong way, didn’t mean to be rude.
Isn’t the geometry setup for more planted cornering and hence that’s why we all get the dreaded inner wear on the front tyre ? I’m may be talking ******** though. This also responsible for the skip you can experience on the front wheels when moving off on full lock?
I don’t find it bad but I think anything less than bone dry can perhaps be a little delicate so to speak.
Yes I had the same set up on my stradale when I took the car in for warranty inspection. The inner front tyres were wearing a lot more because of the geometric setup. I think the set up would be fine for track day maybe but probably does not need to be that extreme for day to day road use. So I had it adjusted for less aggressive toe in set up.

Sorry Oliver, no idea actually, as the front tyres were not worn evenly (I think the technician at Autofinnica told me that the inside were a lot more worn), so it was changed to a more “neutral” setting. I am sure someone here in the forum could recommend. That’s my thoughts in a nutshell, ideal for maximising lap times on a smooth track but unessercery for the road. Formula Renault /F3 setup lol.
How much toe in did you put into it ?
