Never got to see them unfortunately Andy but made some great songs. Strangers In The Night is a great live album.

Great album indeed. Used to play Shoot Shoot years back. Lights Out was my favourite album overall, but used to rotate.

Saw them three times. Twice on the Mechanix tour and before.....About 4 years ago they played Chepstow Castle where it live....Couldn't believe it.....I was bloody on holiday though.

Agree Strangers in the night is a classic live LP......Rock bottom a highlight for me and of course Doctor Doctor.....

I remember that Mechnix album when I use to go in my local record shop in Newmarket called Harper's because of the spanner on the front.

That's the one.....love it....along with no place to run which is the other tour I saw them on. The LP cover is the band stood on a petrol station forecourt.

Don’t Being Harry - The Stranglers

Well the whole album. Takes me back to simpler times.

I like that late 70s/early 80s sound preferable to the mid 80s sound, by the mid 80s all bands seemed obsessed with loads of reverb, this Rush track being a classic example.

Time to restore some order methinks after the recent posts!!!
I know everyone knows this but I urge you to listen again.(15 mins or so) remembering it was a commissioned piece and not a self penned one. True it is a collection of all ready made peasant tunes and a a well known Frenchie sewn together and then suddenly he says 'I know, we need some cannons in this'.
Yes you have guessed it 1812 Overture

Without wishing to drag proceedings into the gutter - this used to be a favourite for testing a sub install.
The cannons were simply sublime through a set Kef Kar ported subs in my Alfa Sud. The c.'88 Overture

Anyone like Slash? Can’t remember if I pimped this before, but this my lad doing Anastasia by Guns and Roses I think, a comp to win a Slash signed guitar, lad was 17, didn’t read the small print, open to US citizens only, bit unfair as Slash is actually from Stoke for some reason. You have to watch this till u get the the fast lead bit, I’ve no idea how he had the patience, the fingers and the talent to do it..

the boy can play!

Andy Keedwell, I just walked into a local cafe and spotted this poster.
The lovely young lady behind the counter (owner) said “of course you can have it”.

Loving this band at the moment !

Sorry don't do it for me.
Saw them on TV recently and they had in the background another drummer with a full set another guitarist and more session people behind so just who is playing the music.
Christine Perfect saves them for me
