Good morning

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned these watches before so I apologise for the repetition if they have, but I wanted to let you know about them if anyone is in the market for a very nice English watch or has a birthday coming up maybe!
As you will see from their website, they have a very extensive range and in particular, the Trident models are sure to appeal. There is a good range of colours available also to match your car maybe - enjoy!

It's hard to say as it's down to personal choice I think but having seen them up close, they are beautifully made and quite exclusive which makes them desirable. And that Trident motif on the hand in this particular range does it for me!

Hi Stuart

may I ask if you've any affiliation to these watches, or how you came to find out about them? I've nevr heard of them but they look nice.

Hi Ross, no I do not have any affiliation or connection at all with them but my father was a watchmaker and I heard about them through him. The quality is excellent but without the mark up of some of the better known premium Swiss brands and I think they make a change from the norm.
I don't have one myself yet but I think one from the Trident range will be on the cards in the near future!

I have heard of them, being something of a watch fan. But only that they are rather nice to have. Never actually *seen* one.

They do not advertise, and sell only direct online, not through retailers. They claim this is why their prices can be kept much lower for the same quality as other Swiss and more expensive watches, and that was their reason for starting the company. There really is a Christopher Ward, who is the watch designer. If you do a search for “christopher ward watches” you’ll easily find about them: they seem to have a good reputation. The Trident one referred to in OP is actually a divers watch (well, it has the “traditional” diving bezel though apparently that’s old fashioned for actual divers) - they also have a motor sport range (with tachymeter bezel) and some other rather nice plain ones.

Their prices certainly are keen. Those ETA movements are used in dozens and dozens of watches (the German made Sinn on my wrist at the moment for example) and most of them retail around the £1k mark.

I've had my Christopher Ward watch for the last 6 or 7 years. It's really nice - subtle and stylish and quite often gets comments by people with an interest in watches. Never seen anyone else with one (well, except my dad - as we got him one for his birthday).
